		<description>nope, Patricia... no such luck ...I have to apply to Phd programs - and the one offered at the University I now attend does not have a plain ol' English Phd program, although they do have one in Canadian Studies which might well suit, if they can support my research interests. Meeting with the director there this Thursday. 

My next attractive option is at York University - it is doable in terms of travel time; could actually take the GOTrain from Barrie (40 minutes South of here). 

If I stop now, it will be because I haven't any other choice - there are no buses out here and without a licence, hubby has a whole lot more to say about whether I continue on than I do. And besides that, I'm already approaching 50 ... if I don't do it now, I don't imagine I ever will.</description>
